Oven cheese with honey and thyme apples

Ingredients

Servings: 10
  • 6 ripe camemberts (250 g each; e.g. Le Rustique, 45 % fat; or see below)
  • 5 Onions
  • 2 medium-sized apples (approx. 200 g each; e.g. Jonagold)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Thyme leaves
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 150 g liquid honey
  • 4 Stem(s) Parsley

Directions

    Take the cheese out of the packaging, then put it back into the chip box. Place the cheese in the box on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 225 °C/circulating air 200 °C/gas: see manufacturer) for 10-12 minutes or follow the instructions on the package.

    In the meantime peel and halve the onions. Cut into thin slices. Wash apples, quarter them, remove seeds and cut into fine pieces. Mix apples, onions and thyme and fry briefly in hot oil.

    Season with salt and pepper. Stir in honey. Wash parsley, chop finely and stir in. Take cheese out of the oven. Serve with onion and apple mixture.
