Ingredients

  • 225 g soft butter or margarine
  • 225 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 5 Eggs (size M)
  • 450 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 50 g white couverture
  • 50 g Dark chocolate coating
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and sugar
  • 4 (à 580 ml/ 1/2 l) Preserving jars

Directions

    Cream fat, sugar and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk. Grease 4 preserving jars and sprinkle with sugar. Fill half of the dough into the glasses.

    Stir cocoa into the other half and fill it onto the light-coloured dough. Pull spirally through the dough with a fork. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 45 minutes. Chop the couverture separately and melt in 1 bowl each on a warm water bath. Spread a thin layer of couverture on the backs of 2 trays or plates and chill for approx. 10 minutes. When the couverture is firm, scrape with a spatula or a pallet of rolls/chips and refrigerate. Remove the cake from the oven and, if it is not to be stored for a longer period of time, remove the lid. After about 10 minutes, turn the cake over and let it cool on a cake rack. Decorate the cold cakes with the chocolate shavings.

    Spread a thin layer of couverture on the backs of 2 trays or plates and chill for approx. 10 minutes. When the couverture is firm, scrape with a spatula or a pallet of rolls/chips and refrigerate. Decorate the cold cakes with the chocolate shavings. Whipped cream tastes good with it
