Ingredients

Servings: 28
  • 200 g Whole milk couverture
  • 2 packages (200 g each) firm nut nougat mass
  • 200 g Nut Nougat Cream
  • 100 g crushed hazelnuts
  • 200 g Butter or margarine
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 5 Eggs (size M)
  • 325 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Paper sleeves

Directions

  1. 1

For the filling chop the couverture roughly. Melt over a warm water bath. Dice the nougat and add to the melted couverture, melt while turning. Stir in nut nougat cream. Mix in the nuts. Set aside and let cool until the mixture begins to set.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, for the waffles, beat the fat, sugar, salt and vanillin sugar with the whisks of the hand mixer until foamy. Stir in the eggs bit by bit. Mix flour and baking powder, add alternately with the milk and stir in.

  3. 3

Preheat waffle iron (two rectangular waffles next to each other 12.5 x 10.5 cm), brush with oil. Fill 2 tablespoons of dough into each rectangle and bake the waffles until golden brown. Bake 6 more waffles from the remaining dough. Let the waffles cool down on a cake rack.

  4. 4

Spread half of the waffles with the nougat mixture. Place one wafer on each, press lightly. Cut each wafer into 4 Hanutas.
