French Toast Rolls

At the weekend, you can already feast at breakfast! This is best done with our uncomplicated French Toast Rolls with heavenly filling.

Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 2 Strawberries
  • 4 Mini chocolate kisses
  • 2 discs Sandwich toast
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 30 g clarified butter
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 1 TEASPOON Sugar

Directions

    Wash, clean and chop the strawberries. Remove the waffles from the chocolate kisses. Roll toast slices flat with a dough roll, remove the crusts. Spread half the strawberry pieces in the lower third of 1 slice of toast.

    Place 2 chocolate kisses on top and press lightly. Roll them up and lay them with the seam side down. Do the same with the 2nd toast.

    Mix egg and milk. Turn toast rolls in it. Heat clarified butter in a pan. Briefly fry the rolls with the seam side down. Then fry for about 2 minutes, turning until golden brown. Mix cinnamon and sugar, turn toast rolls in it. Serve immediately.

    Tip: No strawberry season? The French Toast Rolls also taste great with blueberries, raspberries or thawed frozen fruit.
