For the dough, place the cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and eggs in a mixing bowl and whisk at top speed with the whisks of the hand mixer. Add flour, baking powder and lemon zest and stir in for approx. 2 minutes at highest speed. Spread the dough evenly on a well-greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 10 minutes. In the meantime, fill the groats into a small bowl. Melt butter in a small pot.
Add sugar, milk and almonds and mix. Take the tray out of the oven and add the groats by the spoonful. Spread almond and fat mixture evenly on top and bake in the oven (same temperature) for another 18-20 minutes. Remove from the oven, let it cool down on a grid and serve with cream to taste. Results in about 20 pieces
