Ingredients

Servings: 20
  • 600 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 400 g Butter
  • 2 kg Apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 100 g Raisins
  • 100 g chopped almonds
  • 100 g Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour

Directions

    Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, vanillin sugar, salt, eggs and butter to a smooth dough. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes. Peel apples, remove seeds and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle with half of the lemon juice. Grease the fat pan of the oven.

    Roll out half of the dough on a floured work surface to the size of the baking tray. Place the dough on the fat pan and prick several times with a fork. Mix apples, raisins and almonds and spread them on the dough. From the remaining dough, remove a little, roll out and cut out flowers. Roll out remaining dough to the size of the baking tray and place on the apples. Press the edges of the dough and prick carefully with a fork. Put flowers on the dough. Bake the apple cake in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 40-45 minutes. Remove the cake and let it cool down a little. Mix icing sugar and remaining lemon juice.

    Press the edges of the dough and prick carefully with a fork. Put flowers on the dough. Bake the apple cake in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 40-45 minutes. Remove the cake and let it cool down a little. Mix icing sugar and remaining lemon juice. Spread the apple cake with it and let it cool down. Results in about 20 pieces
