Wash the strawberries, drain well, clean and cut in half. Cut the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the pulp. Separate the eggs. Beat egg yolk, salt, vanilla pulp and half of the sugar until foamy. Stir in orange liqueur, cream and flour. Beat the egg whites until stiff and finally pour in the remaining sugar.
Fold the beaten egg whites into the dough in two portions and put about 1/3 of the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Spread strawberries on top and cover with the remaining dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes. Serve immediately dusted with icing sugar. Delicious with vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce
