Ingredients

  • 175 g + 1 tsp butter or margarine
  • 175 g + 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 4 TSP Cinnamon powder
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 kg Apples + 1 small apple to decorate
  • 5 TABLESPOONS + 350 ml clear apple juice
  • 2 packages Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor
  • 3 TSP Lemon juice
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 50 g Almond slivers
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon stars
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Mix 175 g fat and 175 g sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer until thick and creamy. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix 3 teaspoons cinnamon, flour and baking powder. Alternately stir in with the milk. Fill the dough into a greased and flour-polluted springform pan (26 cm Ø) and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 40-45 minutes.

    Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool down on a cake rack for about 1 1/2 hours. After 1 hour, peel 1 kg of apples, quarter, core and roughly dice them. Mix 5 tablespoons apple juice, pudding powder and 3 tablespoons sugar. Bring 350 ml apple juice and 2 teaspoons lemon juice to the boil. Add the apples and simmer for about 5 minutes. Add the pudding powder while stirring. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. Fold in raisins and almond slivers. Cut the cake in half horizontally. Place a cake ring around the lower cake base. Put compote on the bottom and smooth it down. Place the upper cake base on top and chill for about 1 hour.

Deglaze with a teaspoon of lemon juice. Remove the apple slices from the pan and let them drip off on kitchen paper. Whip the cream until stiff and allow vanilla sugar to trickle in. Spread the cake all around cloudy with whipped cream. Decorate with cinnamon stars and dust with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

    Heat 1 teaspoon of fat in a pan and sauté the apple slices in it. Deglaze with a teaspoon of lemon juice. Remove the apple slices from the pan and let them drip off on kitchen paper. Whip the cream until stiff and allow vanilla sugar to trickle in. Spread the cake all around cloudy with whipped cream. Decorate with cinnamon stars and dust with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
