Chocolate marzipan cake

Ingredients

  • 300 g Santa Clauses or similar chocolate figures
  • 225 g Butter or margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 3 TSP Baking Powder
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 1 TABLESPOON Almond liqueur (e.g. Amaretto)
  • 4 (50 g each) Marzipan loaves
  • 25 g Coconut oil
  • 3-4 Marzipan potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Chop 100 grams of Santa Claus into small pieces. Cut fat into pieces. Cream fat, sugar and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder and stir in alternately with milk and amaretto.

    Finally fold in the chocolate pieces. Grease a box form (30 cm long, 2 litres capacity) and dust with flour. Fill half of the dough into the mould. Put 3 marzipan loaves in the middle and cover with the remaining dough. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 50 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven, turn it out onto a cake rack after about 15 minutes and let it cool down. Roughly chop 200 g Christmas figures chocolate. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a warm water bath and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. Coat the cooled cake with the chocolate icing and chill for 1 hour. Cut 1 marzipan loaf into slices.

    Take the cake out of the oven, turn it out onto a cake rack after about 15 minutes and let it cool down. Roughly chop 200 g Christmas figures chocolate. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a warm water bath and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. Coat the cooled cake with the chocolate icing and chill for 1 hour. Cut 1 marzipan loaf into slices. Halve the marzipan potatoes. Decorate the cake with marzipan bread and potatoes after about 30 minutes
