Chili chocolate cake with summer fruits

  • 1 chili pepper
  • 125 g soft butter
  • 275 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 125 g Flour
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Baking Cocoa
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 4 sheets Gelatine
  • 500 g Mascarpone
  • 300 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 1/2 cantaloupe melon
  • 12 pieces (approx. 300 g) Strawberries
  • 125 g Blueberries
  • 7-10 Tbsp ground pistachio kernels
  • baking paper

Directions

    Halve the chilli pepper, remove the seeds. Chop the pod very finely. Cream butter, 125 g sugar, chilli and 1 packet vanilla sugar with the whisks of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir into the mixture alternately with the milk. Spread the dough in the greased fat pan of the oven (30 x 25 cm) and smooth it down.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool down. Soak the gelatine in cold water. Mix mascarpone and 150 g sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer for about 3 minutes until creamy. Stir in yoghurt and 1 packet of vanillin sugar. Squeeze out the gelatine, dissolve and mix with 4 tablespoons of cream. Stir into the rest of the cream. Put the cream in a cool place. Cut melon into quarters, remove seeds. Peel flesh and cut into thin strips. Wash the strawberries, except for 2 pieces, clean and quarter them all. Wash and sort blueberries.

Wash and sort blueberries. Pour cream into a piping bag with star-shaped spout and squirt 4 strips (approx. 4 cm wide) onto the cake. Spread the fruits between the cream. Decorate the cream with ground pistachios
