Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 75 g Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 40 g crushed almonds
  • 750 g Cherries
  • 1 package Red fruit jelly " Raspberry flavour"
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

  1. 1

Grate marzipan. Cream butter, 75 g sugar, marzipan and 1 pinch of salt with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour, baking powder and almonds and stir into the mixture. Pour the dough into a greased fruit base mould (24 cm Ø) sprinkled with flour and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven ( electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 20-25 minutes. Wash the cherries, remove the stalks and stone them.

  2. 2

Take the base out of the oven, let it cool down for 10 minutes, carefully turn it over onto a cake rack and let it cool down. Stir groats powder, 75 g sugar and 6 tablespoons of cold water until smooth. Bring 440 ml water to the boil and stir in the powder. Add the cherries and bring to the boil again briefly. Spread the cherries on the cold cake base and chill for about 1 hour. Cut the cake into pieces. Whipped cream tastes good with it
