Ingredients

  • 2 kg Apples (e.g. Elstar)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 8 Eggs (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated rind of 1 untreated lemon
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 100 g Cornstarch
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Cocoa powder
  • 175 g Mascarpone
  • 500 g Low-fat curd
  • 1 package Custard powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Peel the apples, cut the core in half. Cut apple halves fan-like. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Beat fat, 200 g sugar, vanillin sugar and salt until frothy. Fold in 4 eggs one after the other.

    Add lemon zest. Mix flour, baking powder, starch and cocoa, sieve onto the egg mixture and fold in carefully. Pour the dough onto a greased, flour-spread pan of the oven and smooth it down. Dab apples dry and cover the dough with it. Beat 4 eggs and 50 g sugar until frothy. Stir in mascarpone, curd cheese and pudding powder. Spread the quark mixture over the apples. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 1 hour. Take out, let cool down and cut into pieces.

    Beat 4 eggs and 50 g sugar until frothy. Stir in mascarpone, curd cheese and pudding powder. Spread the quark mixture over the apples. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 1 hour. Take out, let cool down and cut into pieces. Dust with icing sugar
