Wash the apples, peel and quarter them as desired, remove the core. Cut apples into pieces. Bring 3 tablespoons of water briefly to the boil. Add apple pieces, 1 tablespoon sugar and lemon juice. Cover and cook for approx. 3 minutes, then let cool and, except for a few pieces for garnishing, fill into glasses.
For the pudding, mix 4 tablespoons of milk, pudding powder and remaining sugar. Boil up the rest of the milk. Add the pudding powder while stirring, bring to the boil again. Pour onto the apples and allow to set. Garnish with whipped cream and apple pieces shortly before serving
