Ingredients

  • 800 g Brussels sprouts
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1.2 kg Potatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 400 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) chunky tomatoes
  • 300 ml Milk
  • 50 g Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 75 g grated gouda cheese
  • 3 Stem(s) Parsley
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Clean the Brussels sprouts, halve them depending on size, put them in boiling salted water, bring to the boil and cook for about 12 minutes. Pour into a sieve, drain well. Meanwhile peel potatoes, wash them thoroughly, cut in half depending on size.

    Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water for about 25 minutes.

    In the meantime peel and chop the onion. Peel, wash and finely dice the carrots. Heat the oil in a large pan and crumble the mince into it. Fry well while turning. Add onion and carrots and fry briefly.

    Add tomato paste, sweat briefly, season with salt, pepper, paprika and sugar. Deglaze with tomatoes, bring to the boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Mix in the Brussels sprouts.

    Heat the milk and butter, drain the potatoes and allow to steam briefly. Mash them with a potato masher and let the milk-butter mixture run in. Season to taste with salt and nutmeg.

    Place the mashed potatoes in a greased ovenproof dish. Spread the edge with mashed potatoes. Spread the chopped Brussels sprouts mixture in it. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: see "Gas").
