Braised ribs with maple syrup and pepper crust

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Meat ribs (thick pork rib, without rind)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 kg waxy potatoes
  • 50 g Maple syrup
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarsely ground pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Wash the meat, dab dry, cut into pieces and season with salt and pepper. Peel potatoes and dice them roughly. Grease the fat pan of the oven and spread the potatoes on top.

    Grease the oven rack and spread the meat on top. Roast the potatoes and meat one above the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 40 minutes. Turn once in between.

    10 minutes before the end of cooking time, coat the meat with maple syrup. Season finished meat with coarsely ground pepper.
