Beef steaks with basil beans

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g fr. white beans
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 big ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 bunch Basil
  • 4 Hoof steaks (approx. 180 g each)
  • 1 TABLESPOON clarified butter
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Rinse the beans and boil them up with 1/2 l salted water. Cook on low heat for 20-30 minutes

    Wash, quarter, seed and dice the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash basil, shake dry and pluck the leaves

    Dab meat dry. Heat clarified butter in a pan. Fry the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm wrapped in aluminium foil

    Heat the oil in the frying fat. Fry the onion until transparent. Steam the tomatoes until they almost fall apart. Drain the beans. Stir in basil, except for something to garnish. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with the steaks and garnish with the rest of the basil
