Roughly chop the almonds. Peel banana, cut into pieces, sprinkle with lemon juice and puree with a chopping stick. Beat fat, sugar and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer until foamy. Stir in the eggs bit by bit. Stir in vanilla dessert. Mix flour and baking powder, pour onto the egg-fat mixture and mix. Fold in banana puree.
Fold in banana chips and almonds. Pour the dough into a greased box form (1.55 litres capacity) sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200°C/ gas: level 3) for 60-70 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven, let it cool down a little and turn out of the tin. Dust with icing sugar. Results in about 17 pieces
