Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 4 discs (à 60-75 g) Farmhouse bread
  • 30–40 g Butter
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil
  • 4 discs Holsteiner ham or Katen ham (sliced 2-3 mm thick, 60-70 g each)
  • 4 Organic eggs (size M)
  • 4 discs (approx. 120 g) medieval Gouda cheese
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper from the mill
  • 4 Gherkins
  • 8 small tomatoes

Directions

  1. 1

Spread slices of bread with butter. Peel garlic and cut into slices. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan. Fry the ham with the garlic slices in two portions while turning until crispy. Place on the bread slices

  2. 2

Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the hot pan. Carefully break 4 eggs and put them into the hot pan. Fry over low heat for approx. 1 minute until the egg white is firm. Turn the eggs, immediately cover with cheese and let them melt for a short time. Spread the eggs immediately on the ham slices. Season with pepper to taste. Gherkins and tomatoes taste great with it
