Directions

Put 100 g sugar into the tart tin (26 cm Ø) and caramelise over medium heat until light. Remove from the heat and let it cool down. In the meantime peel and quarter apples, remove core and cut apple quarters into approx. 1 cm thick slices. Coarsely chop the walnuts. Spread 25 g butter as flakes and the nuts on the caramel. Layer the apple slices in a fan shape. Dice remaining butter and beat with remaining sugar, vanillin sugar and salt for about 5 minutes until foamy.

Add eggs and milk bit by bit. Fold in flour. Spread the dough on the apples and bake in the preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 35-40 minutes on the bottom shelf. Remove the tart and bake on the stove at medium heat for another 3-4 minutes. Let it cool down a little, turn it over and let it cool down completely.
