Ingredients

  • 700 g Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 1 package Dry yeast
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1150 ml Milk
  • 225 g Butter
  • 2 packages Almond-flavoured pudding powder
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 500 g Plums
  • 1.25 kg Apples (e.g. Elstar)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar for dusting
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Mix 400 g flour, 1 pinch of salt, 75 g sugar, yeast and 1 packet of vanilla sugar. Add the egg. Warm 150 ml milk lukewarm. Add 75 g butter in flakes. Add to the flour-yeast mixture and knead to a smooth dough with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Leave to rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes.

    Stir 100 ml milk, pudding powder and 75 g sugar until smooth. Bring 900 ml milk to the boil, stir in the pudding powder. Bring to the boil while stirring and simmer for about 1 minute. Pour into a bowl and cover directly with foil. Let cool off. Put 300 g flour, 150 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, egg yolk, 1 pinch of salt and 150 g butter in flakes in a large mixing bowl. Work into smooth crumbles with your hands. Knead the yeast dough again with floured hands. Place on a greased oven pan (32 x 37 cm), roll out and leave to rise again in a warm place for approx. 30 minutes. In the meantime wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the stone. Wash, peel and halve apples, cut out the core. Cut apples into slices.

    Knead the yeast dough again with floured hands. Place on a greased oven pan (32 x 37 cm), roll out and leave to rise again in a warm place for approx. 30 minutes. In the meantime wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the stone. Wash, peel and halve apples, cut out the core. Cut apples into slices. Mix apples and plums. Stir the pudding again, spread evenly on the yeast dough by the spoonful. Spread fruit on top. Add the crumbles and bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a cake rack. Dust with icing sugar as desired. Whipped cream tastes good with it

Add the crumbles and bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a cake rack. Dust with icing sugar as desired. Whipped cream tastes good with it
