Apple pie with marzipan glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 kg sour apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 450 g Flour
  • 225 g + 200 g sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 250 g cold butter/margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1/2 Milk
  • 1 package Pudding powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp "Vanilla
  • 5 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS sugar for sprinkling

Directions

    Peel, quarter and core the apples. Halve apple quarters, drizzle with lemon juice

    Mix flour, 225 g sugar and vanillin sugar. Add fat and knead into crumbles with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Place on a greased baking tray (approx. 35 x 40 cm) and press down firmly

    Dice marzipan. Mix 6 tbsp. milk, 200 g sugar and pudding powder. Whisk 4 tbsp. milk and eggs. Boil up the rest of the milk. Stir in the pudding powder and bring to the boil. Dissolve marzipan in it, let it cool down a bit. Stir in egg-milk

    Spread the apples on the dough and pour the marzipan icing over them. Bake the cake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes. Let it cool down. Then sprinkle with sugar crystals. Whipped cream tastes good with it
