Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg Apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 350 g soft butter/margarine
  • 200 g + 75 g + 75 g sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 8 eggs + 1 egg yolk (Gr. M)
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 150-170 ml + 3 tablespoons of milk
  • 200 g Sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 400 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 5 tablespoons (50 g) flaked almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar

Directions

    Peel apples, cut into eighths and core them. Sprinkle with lemon juice

    Cream fat, 200 g sugar, salt and vanillin sugar. Stir in 4 eggs individually. Mix flour and baking powder. Alternately stir in 150-170 ml milk

    Spread on a greased grease pan (approx. 32 x 39 cm), pulling up slightly at the edge. Spread apples close together on the dough

    Mix sour cream, 75 g sugar, 3 eggs and pudding powder. Pour egg icing over the apples. Bake the apple cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C / convection oven: 150 °C / gas: level 2) for approx. 50 minutes

    Mix marzipan, 75 g sugar, 1 egg and 2 tablespoons milk with the whisk of the hand mixer. Pour into a piping bag with a star-shaped spout and squirt onto the cake in a grid pattern. Bake the cake at the same temperature for another 15 minutes

    Whisk 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of milk. Spread the macaroon grid with it. Sprinkle the cake with almonds and bake at the same temperature for another 10 minutes. Let it cool down. Dust with icing sugar before serving
