Peel apples, quarter them and cut out the core. Cut the apple quarters in half again and sprinkle with lemon juice. For the dough mix flour, 225 g sugar and vanillin sugar. Knead in soft fat with the dough hooks.
Put the dough on a greased baking tray, spread it out and press it down firmly. Spread apple pieces evenly on top. For the glaze, stir 4 tablespoons of milk and pudding powder until smooth. Whisk another 4 tablespoons of milk and eggs.
Boil up the rest of the milk. Dissolve marzipan in it, add remaining sugar. Add the pudding powder. Boil up briefly while stirring. Let it cool down a little. Stir in whisked eggs. Spread the marzipan glaze evenly over the apples.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 45 minutes. Serve sprinkled with sugar crystals. Serve with whipped vanilla cream. Makes about 24 pieces.
