Ingredients

  • 200 g Butter or margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 50 g crushed almonds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 Eggs (size M)
  • 375 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 75 ml Milk
  • 1.25 kg Apples
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

    For the crumble dough, knead the fat, sugar, flour, cinnamon, almond and salt with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Then work into crumbles again with your hands. Put the crumble dough aside. For the batter, beat the fat, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until foamy. Stir in eggs bit by bit. Mix flour and baking powder and sieve onto the fat egg mass.

    Add milk and mix. Wash, peel and quarter apples and cut out the cores. Cut the apple quarters into pieces. Fold under the batter and spread on a greased baking tray. Spread the crumbles evenly on top and bake in a preheated oven (electric: 175 °C / gas: level 2) for 30-35 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and dust with icing sugar
