Apple crumble cake with vanilla ice cream

Ingredients

  • 400 g Butter
  • 500 g Flour
  • 300 g crushed almonds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 450 g + 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 medium-sized apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Melt the butter and let it cool down a little. Mix flour, almonds, salt and 450 grams of sugar. Mix the butter with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, knead everything into crumbles. Grease a baking tray (32 x 39 cm). Put about 2/3 of the crumbles on the bottom and press flat. Place in a cool place. Peel and quarter apples and remove the core.

    Cut quarters into slices and sprinkle with lemon juice. Spread on the base and pour the rest of the crumbles over it. Sprinkle with three tablespoons of sugar. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) on the bottom shelf for 40 to 50 minutes. Let it cool down on a cake rack. Cut the cake into pieces. Vanilla ice cream tastes good with it
