Ingredients

Servings: 24
  • 1/4 l + 1/2 l milk
  • 1 cube (42 g) Yeast
  • 500 g Flour
  • 100 g + 75 g + 25 g + 50 g
  • 7-10 Tbsp sugar, 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 45 g + 75 g soft butter/
  • 7-10 Tbsp Margarine
  • 1 kg Apples
  • 200 ml clear apple juice
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 1 package Pudding powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp "Vanilla" (for 1/2 l liquid;
  • 7-10 Tbsp for cooking)
  • 50 g flaked almonds

Directions

    Warm up 1/4 l milk. Dissolve yeast in it. Mix flour, 100 g sugar, salt, 1 packet vanilla sugar, egg and 45 g fat in flakes. Add yeast and knead everything into a dough. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes

    Peel, core and cut apples into pieces. Steam apples, 1 packet of vanillin sugar, 75 g sugar, juice and cinnamon for approx. 12 minutes. Remove the cinnamon, let it cool down

    Knead dough, cut in half. Roll out 1st half on a greased fat pan (approx. 32x39 cm). Spread apple mixture on top. Roll out the rest of the dough on a little flour 32 x 39 cm and lay it on the apple mixture. Let the cake rise for about 20 minutes

    Mix 4 tablespoons of milk, 25 g sugar and pudding powder until smooth. Boil up the rest of the milk. Stir in the pudding powder and bring to the boil while stirring. Let the pudding cool down a little

    Press into the surface of the dough in dense depressions. Distribute 75 g fat in flakes and pudding in them. Sprinkle with 50 g sugar and almonds

    Bake the cake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for 25-30 minutes. Whipped cream tastes good with it
