Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 6 Apples (approx. 125 g each)
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 4 TABLESPOONS redcurrant jelly
  • 20 g flaked almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Peel and halve apples and cut out the core. Scratch the curves of the apple halves several times and sprinkle with lemon juice. Grate marzipan

    Cream fat, marzipan, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder and stir in portions. Put the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø), smooth it down, distribute the apple halves evenly and press them lightly into the dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 40 minutes

    Remove the cake and place it on a cake rack. Warm the jelly. Brush apple halves with the warm jelly. Roast the almonds in a pan without fat, take them out. Remove cooled cake from the pan and sprinkle with almonds. Serve with whipped cream
